Mental Health Services

Mental Health Services of Orange County Department of Mental Health include the planning, development, and coordination of services for adults, children and families with mental health issues. Among the services provided are Children and Family Services, which include court-ordered mental health assessments, single point of access (SPOA) for adults and children, and youth suicide prevention and child sexual abuse prevention initiatives; Assisted Outpatient Treatment (through Kendra’s Law); and the operation of County Operated Clinics in Newburgh and Port Jervis and the Jail Clinic at the Orange County Correctional Facility in Goshen. The Department also coordinates with other agencies to provide mental health services through the co-location program at New Windsor Pediatrics; the School-Based Satellite Clinics at schools in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District and Warwick Valley Central School District; Orange County System of Care; the Forensic Connections Program in Port Jervis; and trauma-informed mental health education through the Trauma Institute of Orange County.
