The Division of Budget is charged by the County Charter to monitor County expenditures and exercise budgetary controls during the year. It is responsible for analyzing budget requests from departments and preparing the Orange County Budget for the County Executive's submission to the Legislature. The Department also performs fiscal management studies and reviews budgets. In addition, the Budget Department provides staff advice and analysis to County Departments, Legislators, and the County Executive. The division monitors expenses and revenues of the annual County Budget as presented by the County Executive and adopted by the Legislature. Related Links
